Robert began his broadcasting career in 1994 when he took a job as the News Director at KTNM/KQAY in Tucumcari, New Mexico where he garnered awards from the New Mexico Broadcasting Association. He moved back to Southern California where he worked at KAVL, Sports Radio 610 and hosted “The Antelope Valley Sports Talk Show” on KPAL-TV. He moved on to KTPI “High Desert Hot Country” in Lancaster, California and from there to KAVC.
Robert relocated to Merced in 2002 and has stepped into the role of News Director for 1480 KYOS. Ironically, in 1993 the General Manager of a local radio station told him that he would never make it in the radio business. That gentleman, at the time, was the GM of 1480 KYOS.
